Anne Cannon, Program Director – Educational Services
She is responsible for providing leadership to the educational programs for the five schools affiliated with the residential programs, including supervising the principals, monitoring all state and federal processes and serving as a liaison with the residential campus directors and company leadership.
Cannon began her career with Youth Villages as a teacher counselor at the Dogwood Residential Campus in 1991 before moving into the role of a classroom teacher. After six years of service, she left Youth Villages, but returned to the organization in 2000 as a teacher. Cannon has since served as a clinical liaison, counselor, public school liaison and as principal for the education programs at the Bartlett Campus, as well as the Girls Center for Intensive Residential Treatment.
Cannon earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and her master’s degree in counseling from the University of Memphis. She has her teaching license in United States history, sociology and special education.
