The Lake Oswego chapter of the National Charity League supports activities for children in our residential programs in Oregon. Click here to learn more.
Must be 21 years old and have a safe driving record. Be a specific friend to a child who needs a caring and consistent adult in his life. Spend two or four weekends or afternoons a month. The volunteer position requires a commitment of six months and visits with the child at least twice a month. Activities include: shopping, playing board games, sports, picnics, etc.

For our annual 5k, we need about 100 volunteers, ages 12 and older. Those 12-15 must have an accompanying adult. Volunteer areas including the water station, volunteer registration, course monitors, food tent, children’s area, set-up and clean-up crew.

Age requirement: 18. Provide academic support to a child or a group of children in our programs. Tutors should visit the child or group at least once a week. Volunteer during school hours from 9 am-2 pm, or volunteer during residential service 4-6 pm.

Age requirement: 18. Help meet the spiritual needs of a child and his or her family. Sing gospel and inspirational songs with the youth, be a spiritual brother/sister or lead a weekly Bible study. You can also help with holiday celebrations, play games, and invite the youth to a worship service.

We need about 250 volunteers at this annual event to set up, serve food, staff the children's area, etc.

Age requirement: 18. Run with group of youth on residential campus for one mile at a time, encouraging them along the way. Run with youth at 5k races throughout the year.
