Youth Villages serves families in Mississippi through MYPAC, transitional living and foster care
Youth Villages expanded our services outside the state of Tennessee for the first time in 1996 when we opened a Jackson, Miss., office. We’ve since expanded to areas throughout the state.
Youth Villages partners with the Mississippi Division of Medicaid to provide a special program called MYPAC, Mississippi Youth Programs Around the Clock. We also provide Transitional Living and Foster Care services in the state. Emergency and crisis response services are offered to youth and families referred to and participating in Youth Villages’ services.
Success in Mississippi
Youth Villages' partnership with MYPAC works in Mississippi. Based on research conducted six months post-discharge,* of the children from Mississippi who have received at least 60 days of service:
- 82% of youth are at home with family
- 80% of youth report no trouble with the law
- 87% of youth are in school, have graduated from high school, or are in GED classes
*These percentages reflect outcomes recorded through June 2012
