Must be 21 years old and have a safe driving record. Be a specific friend to a child who needs a caring and consistent adult in his life. Spend two or four weekends or afternoons a month. The volunteer position requires a commitment of six months and visits with the child at least twice a month. Must be 18 years old. Help a teenager or a group of young adults learn about various workplaces. It can be a one-time or ongoing event. Within the activity you can discuss interviewing skills and job applications. You can also cover other aspects of today's workforce with teenagers in our programs. In December, volunteers ‘adopt’ one or more children for the holiday season and help purchase gifts based on a child’s wish list. Max amount spent on each child is $75. Click here to learn more about Holiday Heroes.
