Deer Valley Treatment

While at Deer Valley, children receive intensive counseling designed to help them learn to live successfully at home.

Our counselors are trained to help children with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral problems. They take the time to talk with children individually and conduct group therapy to help the boys work on their behavioral goals. The children respect our counselors and look up to them for support and guidance.

At Youth Villages, we believe that all children should be raised by their families whenever possible. We know that sometimes stays in residential care cannot be avoided, but we strive to make these stays as short as possible.

Whenever family reunification is an option, we begin family counseling as soon as possible and the campus provides a family-friendly atmosphere with family therapy and visitation rooms as well as outdoor areas for visits and picnics.

Although admission requirements vary based on the individual program, primarily, we treat hard-to-help, hard-to-place children who have emotional and behavioral problems plus co-occurring medical issues and failed at numerous other programs.
