Ray Pohlman

Ray Pohlman is government relations director and vice president of AutoZone, managing the company's government relations, community relations, communications and media relations efforts. Previously, he managed political campaigns, including former Tennessee Governor Don Sundquist's 1994 election, and served as director of communications for former Memphis Mayor Dick Hackett. Prior to that, Pohlman spent 16 years with WREG-TV, serving as broadcast journalist, news anchor, assignment editor, executive producer and news director. He currently is chairman of the board of directors of Memphis Redbirds Foundation and Tennessee Retail Council. He also serves on the boards of directors of Memphis Regional Chamber, Lifeblood Foundation, Memphis/Shelby County Sports Development Corporation and on the board of advisors of Memphis development Foundation/Orpheum Theatre, among others.
