Mike Bruns, chairman of the Youth Villages Board of Directors, is founder and president of Comtrak Logistics, a regional transportation and logistics company headquartered in Memphis. This is Mr. Bruns' second term as Youth Villages board chairman, a role he previously filled between 1997 and 2001, a period of great growth and expansion for the nonprofit organization. During that period, Youth Villages expanded programs and services to three other states and doubled the number of children that it was able to help. Comtrak Logistics has been named one of the nation's fastest-growing private companies by Inc. 500. The Rotary Club named Mr. Bruns citizen of the year, and in 1990, Memphis Business Journal named Comtrak Logistics business of the year. Mr. Bruns also was named Person of the Year by Transportation Club International in 2004.
