John Hutchins is a partner with Troutman Sanders LLP, an international law firm. Hutchins' practice area focuses on commercial disputes and transactions in the area of information technology and intellectual property. He also is leader of the firm’s privacy & data security practice team. Hutchins also serves as vice-chair and chair-elect of the Technology section of the State Bar of Georgia, and is co-chair of programs for the intellectual property litigation committee of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association. His volunteer involvement includes serving as pro bono counsel to a Georgia death row inmate along with other lawyers of Troutman Sanders. He holds a bachelor's degree and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of South Carolina, and is admitted to practice law in Georgia and South Carolina. Hutchins and his wife, Laura, have two children, Jack and Anna.
