Youth Villages Center for Girls
Youth Villages offers intensive residential treatment for girls in a state-of-the-art, secure center on our beautifiul Bartlett Campus in Tennessee. The Center for Girls serves females from age 9 to 17 in an expansive, hardware-secure residential facility designed to meet the treatment, educational and health needs of girls with serious emotional and behavioral problems.
Intensive Treatment in a Secure Setting
Comfortable, spacious living quarters organized into four distinct courtyards are the focus area of the 56,000 square feet of secured space available for girls at the center. Each courtyard accommodates 14–16 girls grouped by age, functioning level and diagnosis. The girls move from their assigned courtyards to a central dining area and from there to the classrooms at the state-accredited school -- all contained within the center. A gymnasium, nursing and medical area, salon, chapel, private family meeting rooms and secure outdoor recreational areas contribute to a diverse therapeutic milieu.
A child-to-staff ratio of 3:1 ensures that safety and security receive the utmost priority, while strategically placed security cameras supplement the ongoing monitoring of all activities within the center. The environment is filled with natural light pouring in from large expanses of windows throughout the center, creating a sense of openness not often found in programs with this level of security and intensity.
Wellness Program
As part of its Intensive Residential Treatment Program, Youth Villages offers a wellness program designed to educate girls in the areas of nutrition, fitness, positive self image, obesity and hygiene. The program includes an on-site beauty salon and allows the girls supervised access to a gymnasium and fitness center.
