Lisa Copeland, Managing Director - Placement Services

Lisa Copeland

As Managing Director - Placement Services, Lisa Copeland is responsible for overseeing the referral, placement and utilization review functions for the organization. She also ensures that providers receive timely responses to placement requests, parents are appropriately introduced to the services provided to their children, and staff is aware of and prepared for all incoming placements. Additionally, she participates in the process of certification status to appropriate departments, maintains a monitoring process to ensure that external reviews are completed in the appropriate time frames, serves as a liaison between State and government officials and referral sources and negotiates contracts.

She joined Youth Villages in 1988, and has worked as an intake counselor and placement service manager. Before coming to Youth Villages, she was a social work intern at the University of Tennessee Clinic for Exceptional Children and Parenting Center of Memphis.

Copeland graduated cum laude from the University of Memphis with a B.A. in social work. She is a member of Bartlett Hills Baptist Church.
