Leo Coughlin, Residential Program Director - Tennessee

Leo Coughlin

As residential program director - Tennessee, Leo Coughlin is responsible for all of the residential programs for West Tennessee and the Deer Valley Residential Program in Middle Tennessee.

He joined Youth Villages in 1980, and has also served as Director of the Boys Center for Intensive Residential Treatment in Bartlett, Tennessee, and as Director of the Dogwood Campus in Arlington, Tennessee. Prior to joining Youth Villages, Coughlin was a counselor in a maximum security prison, an investigator and trainer for police, a group home counselor and a member of the United States Air Force.

Coughlin earned a bachelor of arts degree in criminology from the University of Maryland and took masters in criminology courses at Illinois State University and the University of Memphis.

He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
