Helping Children And Families Live Successfully.

Volunteer at Inner Harbour campus

Inner Harbour's experiential philosophy offers many unique opportunities to make a difference. Our volunteers contribute in a variety of ways, from large-scale, day-long service projects to weekly, one-on-one mentoring sessions with our youth. Other opportunities include tutoring and working with our therapy animals.

Current Volunteer Positions:

Mentors:
We seek mature adults that will provide a positive role model relationship through investing quality time in getting to know the children.

Tutors:
Tutors are very important in providing students with more personal attention with academic subjects such as math, reading, handwriting, spelling, etc.

Activity Facilitator:
These volunteers will meet with groups of residents to brighten up their day with an activity. We are seeking self-motivated leaders who can create recreational activities and participate in them with the groups.

Life Skills Coach:
Volunteers under this category will assist teenagers in developing the skills necessary to become self-sufficient. This may include applying for employment, teaching youth financial literacy, time management, work efficacy, food preparation, and social etiquette.

Art Therapy Assistant:
We are seeking volunteers in the field of education or psychology who have not only a passion for art but are able to assist the youth with therapeutic projects. Organization skills are a must.

Equine Therapy Assistant:
Those who aid at our horse barn must be comfortable around horses, able to lead youth, and willing to get a little dirty.

Yoga Assistant:
We are seeking volunteers not only willing to be positive role models through participation, but those who are willing to tend to classroom cleanliness.
